About Slow Cooker Recipes
We believe the slow cooker is one of the most underrated kitchen tools in Britain. Set it in the morning, get on with your day, and come home to a proper meal.
How it works
We find the best YouTube recipe videos
We search for highly-rated YouTube recipe videos with solid view counts, good like-to-view ratios, and positive comments. We focus on recipes that actually translate well to slow cooking.
We extract the recipe
Using the video's transcript and metadata, we extract a structured recipe: ingredients with precise quantities, step-by-step method, timings, and any important notes the creator shared.
We adapt it for the slow cooker
Many YouTube recipes use oven, hob, or Instant Pot methods. We convert them for the slow cooker - adjusting liquid quantities, cooking times, and temperature settings. We're transparent about every change we make.
We publish it as a clean, readable recipe
The original video is embedded on every recipe page so you can see exactly where the recipe came from. The recipe title always matches the YouTube title exactly. The video creator gets full credit.
Our principles
- Recipe titles always match the original YouTube video title exactly.
- The original YouTube video is always embedded — we're a companion to the creator, not a replacement.
- We are transparent about slow cooker adaptations and always explain what we changed.
- We write in plain, helpful British English — no robotic fluff.
- Ingredients always scale correctly when you change the serving count.
- Comments are moderated to keep the community helpful and respectful.
