Breakfast Fruit Wheat Berry Compote

If you’re ready for
something different for breakfast, try this easy fruit and cereal combo.
You can cook it overnight so it’s ready and waiting in the morning. With
a hot cup of coffee or a glass of milk, and perhaps some toast, it will
set you up for the morning: hearty, healthy, and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 1 cup wheat berries, rinsed and drained
- 2 to 2½ cups apple juice
- ½ cup chopped apricots
- ¼ cup raisins
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
Steps:
- Spray inside of slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Place all ingredients into slow cooker and stir to blend.
- Cover and cook on low setting 8 to 10 hours.
