Preparation time: 10 minutes
Slow Cooker Size 3.5L+
Serves: 6
Cooking time: 5-7 hours and on Low setting or 2 1/2-3 hours on High setting with additional 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 800 g (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup diced turkey (cooked)
  • 170 g (6 oz) canned tomato paste
  • 1 green pepper, cut into 2.5 cm (1 inch) pieces
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cups of water
  • teaspoon pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped finely
  • 4 cups of rice (cooked)
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 cups of shrimp, peeled (uncooked)
  • teaspoon red pepper sauce
  • cup parsley, chopped

Steps:

  1. Place all the ingredients (except for rice and shrimp) in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook for 5 to 7 hours over low heat or 2 to 3 hours over high heat.
  3. Add the shrimp and stir.
  4. Cover and cook for another 45 minutes until shrimp is firm.
  5. Serve with rice and enjoy!
