Slow Cooker Size 3.5L+
Serves: 6-8
Cooking time: 6-8 hours on Low settings or 3-4 hours on High settings


  • 1 kg (2 lb) boneless pork loin roast
  • cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons ketchup
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce


  1. Place the onion slices in the slow cooker, arrange evenly in the bottom.
  2. Put the pork roast on top of the onion.
  3. Meanwhile, mix the sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, black pepper, ketchup, salt, hot sauce and garlic powder in a bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the roast.
  5. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours over low heat or 3 to 4 hours over high heat.
  6. Serve.
