Spirali with Ham, Lemon and Peas

Prepare the ingredients in the morning and enjoy this delicious meal at night.


  • 7 oz (200g) smoked ham diced
  • 2oz (50g) spirali pasta
  • 3 small thyme sprigs
  • 2 eggs beaten lightly
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1 large strip lemon zest, grated
  • 1 cup pouring cream
  • 1 cups fresh or frozen peas
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese


  • In a large heatproof bowl, place the spirali and cover with boiling water. Set aside.
  • Stir for about 10 minutes.
  • Drain the pasta and place into the slow cooker.
  • Add the thyme, cream, strip of lemon zest, stock and 2 cups of water.
  • Cook for 3 hours on Low.
  • Add the Parmesan, eggs, peas and ham.
  • Continue to cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Serve.
