Slow Cooker Seafood Recipes

Seafood and fish can be cooked in slow cookers but due to the delicate nature of the flesh, seafood tend to take a much shorter time of 2-5 hours. Make sure you serve your seafood dish as soon as its ready to avoid drying out.

One of my favorite seafood slow cooker recipes are for chowder where the flavors are really enhanced by the slow cooking process.

Tips for  Seafoods

  • Seafood should be added during the last hour of cooking time, or it will overcook and have a rubbery texture.
  • Dairy products should be added during the last 30 minutes of cooking time, unless the recipes states otherwise.
