Cooking time: 6-8 hours on Low or 3-4 hours on high.


  • 2 cans of Italian-style stewed tomatoes
  • 450g (1 lb) hot Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cans of artichoke hearts
  • 4 cups tomato basil pasta sauce


  1. Place the tomatoes in a 4-5L slow cooker
  2. Using a large greased skillet, scramble-fry the sausage with the onions. Do this for about 8 minutes in medium-high heat, or until the sausage is no longer pink. Drain and add sausage to the slow cooker.
  3. Add artichoke and pasta sauce. Stir and cook covered on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
