  • 1 lb (500g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts cubed
  • 8 oz (225g) tomato sauce
  • 1 lb (500g) uncooked shrimp
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • cup white wine or pernod
  • cup butter


  • Rub the salt and pepper into the chicken pieces.
  • Heat butter in the skillet and brown the chicken.
  • Transfer the browned chicken into a slow cooker.
  • Place the tomato sauce, onion, basil and garlic into a bowl.
  • Add the wine and pour the mixture over chicken.
  • Cover and cook for 4 to 5 hours over low heat.
  • Add the shrimp and stir.
  • Cover and cook for another 20  to 30 minutes over high heat.
  • Transfer into the serving bowls and serve.
