Cooking time: 5-7 hours on Low or 2 -3 hours on High


  • 680g (1 lbs) lean beef mince
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 canned tomatoes, mashed
  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • teaspoon dried oregano
  • 210ml (7.5 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 1 cup grated medium cheddar


  1. Using a non-stick frying skillet, scramble-dry beef mince until browned. Drain well and place into a 3.5L slow cooker.
  2. Add the onion, tomatoes, chilli powder, dried oregano, tomato puree, salt, and pepper. Stir, and cover. Cook on low for 5-7 hours or on high for 2
    to 3 hours.
  3. Meanwhile, boil the pasta in a saucepan until firm.
  4. Place the pasta in the slow cooker.
  5. Sprinkle cheese over the top and cook on high for another 10-15 minutes, Or until the cheese is melted.
