Slow Cooker Beef Recipes - Asian Ginger Beef

This recipe is a great twist on a beef dish. With Asian inspired flavours and healthy vegetables, this slow cooked beef meal is sure to please. Serve with rice or enjoy it on its own. Ingredients:- 700g (1½ lb) boneless beef round steak
- 4 medium carrots
- 1 sweet red pepper
- 2 cups sugar snap peas
- ½ cup sliced chives (green onions)
- 2 cloves garlic - minced
- 1½ cups (375ml/12fl oz) water
- 3 tablespoon. soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon. sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon. sugar
- 2 teaspoon. fresh ginger - minced
- 1 teaspoon. instant beef bouillon granules
- ¼ teaspoon. crushed red pepper
- 2 tablespoon. cornstarch
Steps:- Begin by chopping the carrots into large pieces and the red pepper into slices.
- Cut the beef round steak into one-inch cubes.
- Add the beef, carrots, red pepper slices, green onions, and garlic to the slow cooker.
- Pour water over beef and vegetables.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, beef bouillon, and crushed red pepper to the slow cooker.
- Set the slow cooker to a low heat setting and cook for 9 to 10 hours. (Optional: for faster cooking, set on high heat for 4 to 5 hours)
- Once beef is cooked and tender, add cornstarch to slow cooker.
- Mix and continue cooking for thirty minutes.
- Add sugar snap peas to hot mixture and stir.
- Serve with rice and enjoy!
