Medium setting for 2 hours, stirring after 1 hour. |
This traditional favourite is extremely easy to make in your slow cooker.
It’s the perfect “comfort food” to punctuate just about any meal. Serve
with light cream for a lovely extra touch of heaven.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1L (32fl oz) milk, boiled
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2/3 cup chopped dates or raisins
- 3 to 3½ cup rice, cooked
Steps:
- In slow cooker, combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook at Medium setting for 2 hours, stirring after 1
hour.
- Reduce temperature to keep warm for serving or chill in
refrigerator and serve cold.
- Top with light cream, if desired.
