Want something special with your usual soup? This recipe is perfect!


  • 9 oz (250g) fresh ravioli pasta (chicken and mushroom)
  • 6 cups chicken stock
  • 3 silverbeet leaves
  • 2 whole dried, Chinese mushrooms
  • 1 small leek (white part only)
  • 1 celery diced (leaves included)
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 zucchini diced


  • Slice the leek lengthwise, keep the root attached.
  • Wash with cold water and drain.
  • Remove the root and chopped into small pieces.
  • Wash the silverbeet and remove the white stems.
  • Tear the leaves into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Place the carrot, celery, leek and zucchini in the slow cooker.
  • Add the Chinese mushrooms.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and stock.
  • Cook for 3-4 hours on High.
  • Add the silverbeet and ravioli about 30 minutes before the end of cooking time.
  • Cover and cook for another 20 minutes.
