Slow Cooker Pork Tenderloin with Blackberry

  • 2 tablespoons dry red wine (such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • cup honey
  • 2 lb (900g) pork tenderloin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary crushed
  • 16 oz (450 g) seedless blackberry jam

For the sauce:

  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • cup dry red wine (such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)


  • Season the pork tenderloin with rosemary, sage, pepper and salt.
  • Put the pork tenderloin into a slow cooker, add the blackberry jam, 2 tablespoons of red wine and cup honey.
  • Cook for 4 to 5 hours over low heat until tenderloin is tender.
  • Pour cup of red wine, fresh blackberries and 2 tablespoons of honey to the saucepan around 15 minutes before serving time.
  • In a medium-low heat, bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until sauce becomes thick.
  • Slice the tenderloin and put the blackberry wine sauce.
