Pork Roast with Creamy Mustard Sauce

A creamy treat for an extraordinary day. Best if shared with family and friends.


  • 2 x 2.5 lb (1 kg) pork boneless sirloin roast
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (all-purpose) plain flour
  • 2 carrots chopped finely
  • 1 shallots (small) chopped finely
  • 1 onion chopped finely
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper
  • cup dry white wine
  • cup half and half


  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the pork roast in the skillet and cook for 10 minutes until brown on all sides.
  • Transfer the pork to a slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the mustard and half-and-half.
  • Pour the mixture over pork.
  • Cover and cook for 7 to 9 hours on low.
  • Take the pork off the slow cooker.
  • Keep warm.
  • Stir the mustard and half-and-half into juices.
  • Bring the heat to high.
  • Cover and cook for about 15 minutes until thickened.
  • Serve pork with sauce on top.
