This is the pork rib version of the
beef rib stew. The recipe was from my aunt
and is really easy to make. It was originally cooked in a pot but the slow
cooker always brings out the best in any recipe.
Ingredients:
2kg (5lb) of pork ribs.
3 large carrots
2 onions
3 potatoes
2 pieces of star anis
3 pieces of cloves
2 x 140g (5oz) tubs of tomato concentrate paste
2 tablespoon Worchester sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon of sugar
4 bay leaves
500ml (16fl oz) water
Steps:
Cut carrots, and onions into pieces.
Peel and cut potatoes into 1/8th pieces.
Combine carrots, onions, pork rib in the slow cooker.
Add tomato paste, star anis, cloves, bay leaf, worcester sauce,
soy sauce, sugar and water.
Stir ingredients in slow cooker to mix.
Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours and then add potatoes and
top up water if necessary..
Cook for another 6-7 hours. (Optional: set
cooker to high heat and cook for 4 hours to save time).
Welcome to the new look Slow Cooker Recipes. I hope you like
this new design. We want to give it a fresh new look that is clearer
and easier to use. The font is now bigger and very tablet or phone
friendly. We even have a handy pop up conversion chart on the side.
Try out and have fun!

Mine is in the pot now. The smallest pork I could find was two kilos so I cut it in half and added extra sauce. Smells amazing!
