The perfect hearty breakfast for cold mornings.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups steel cut oats (Irish oats)
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 2 cups diced apple
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or ½ teaspoon ginger + ¼ teaspoon cloves)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cook, covered, on Low for 8 hours
