onion soup mix
stir before using
4 oz (110g)
smoked ham sausage
cut into 6 mm (¼ inch) slices
drained and rinsed
1 lb (500g)
trimmed of fat, meat cut into 2 cm (¾
inch) pieces, reserve the bones
On a Medium-High setting, heat a greased frying pan.
Add lamb and cook for 8 minutes, stirring gradually until
browned on all sides.
Transfer the contents to 4 or 5L slow cooker.
Add tomatoes, black-eyed peas, sausage, onion and reserved bone.
Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on Low or 4 to 5 hours on High.
Remove and discard bone.
