this was the 1st meal we made with our new slow cooker as it sounded easy and quite tasty. Took less than 5 mins to prepare and cooked it on slow for 5hrs with the intention on keeping at low setting for 8hrs then my partner had a call from work asking him to work overtime on the nightshift so we had to bang it up to the high setting for 2hrs in order for it to be ready and it was absolutely stunning along with our homemade seasoned potato wedges. The chicken was so tender and just fell off the bone. Will definately be trying this again!

I put it on high for 2 1/4 hours then down to low for 2 1/4 hours and the chicken was perfect. The whole family enjoyed it!

You don't need to cook the chicken first you just chuck it all in and it cooks. Make the chicken pieces quite small cos otherwise it does go dry and just add some water as it's quite a thick sauce otherwise. Made it twice now and it's a definite favourite :)

I have not cooked any of these recipes yet, do you need to cook the chicken first or just put it in raw? Is that the same for all the meats? Any advice would be appreciated..... Thanks

I have just tried this recipe but found it made the chicken very dry.
